Most students residing in New South Wales are eligible to apply for free bus transport to and from school. Such transport is provided only after presentation of an appropriate travel pass to the driver upon boarding the bus.
From 12 May 2016, applications for free school travel in rural and regional NSW will need to be completed online instead of using paper forms.
Once you have confirmed your school enrolment, complete the online application at transportnsw.info/school-students, nominating your home address and which bus company the student needs to travel between home and school
The school then sends the endorsed application to Transport for NSW. You will receive an email confirming the outcome of your application. Transport for NSW will advise Shoal Bus of the approval and the pass will be issued to the school office.
A parent or guardian must apply for students 15 years and under. Students 16 years and over must apply for themselves.
Applicants without ready access to the internet or who wish to follow up on the application process, please call 131 500 for assistance.
